Staff

The Gwent Outdoor Centres have some 30 full and part time staff. They cover the domestic, administrative, maintenance and outdoor activity needs of the service.

All staff undertake an enhanced CRB check and these are renewed periodically.
All outdoor activity staff hold appropriate National Governing Body Awards in the activities they lead. Many of our staff are also qualified teachers. Details of individual staffs qualifications can be provided if required

We regularly meet & all share a love of the outdoors. Staff development is important to the organization & CPD (Continued Professional Development) is encouraged. Many of the outdoor Instructional staff are still active climbers, cavers, mountain bikers and canoeists & spend much of their spare time enjoying these activities
