Day Visits

Day Visits are becoming an increasingly popular addition to the services we offer. Available to all ages and abilities.

Foundation & Key Stage I Day Visits

These popular days are being booked now for Spring & Summer 2011.

An increasing number of Early years classes have come for a great day out. Offering nature walks, forest skills, team games, bug hunts & pond dipping to shelter building, Orienteering and climbing on our traverse wall. These activities are a great way of introducing children to our centres in preparation for a residential visit but also introduce the outdoors in a fun and exciting way.

With instructors having an understanding of the needs & abilities of early years pupils activities have been designed with the needs of the younger pupil in mind. This makes a great day out with things as simple as kitting up in Wellies & waterproofs and splashing through puddles as a great adventure for the children to the early introduction of maps & surroundings through simple orienteering type challenges searching for teddy bears !

Climbing, Caving, Canoe or Team Building Days are popular with Comprehensive School groups as a weekday alternative to standard "school trips" and as well as being great fun for the kids they have a strong learning element of life skills and confidence building.

Other Day visits have been Sixth Form induction days, Expedition preparation for Duke of Edinburgh Award students to Traverse Wall bookings.
